Men often carry burdens alone and wish they had someone they could trust for help and guidance. The pressure of “being a man” leaves many of us feeling inadequate, confused, and lonely. We wish we had fathers or mentors to show us the way, but we have no idea how to find them. David welcomes you to explore your struggles in a safe environment and find better ways of living life with the people you love. If part of your struggle is marital or relational, then feel free to come as a couple. David and his wife Guitta, also a therapist, welcome the opportunity to work with couples seeking to live in a mutually supportive relationship. David believes strongly in creating a safe space for exploring new ways of relating with self and others. By understanding your own story and why you function the way you do, you can identify new options for the problems currently causing you pain. David will guide you in putting words to hard-to-identify experiences so that you can have clarity and relief. David is certified in a trauma modality called EMDR for resolving deep-seated negative beliefs about yourself and decreasing the intensity of painful memories. He is also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) to help clients overcome infidelity and problematic porn use. Finally, David is Gottman I & II trained to help couples manage gridlock.

When you are feeling like you are not enough... When you are not able to carry a conversation with your spouse without a fight... When he or she had an affair... When you just had a baby and you aren't feeling the way you think you should.... When your confused about what to do next... When your troubles are keeping you up at night... When your anxiety just got a lot worse... I can offer you, your child or adolescent, and your marriage guidance without judgement, a road to peace and hope and a healthier relationship with your loved ones. My experience, education, and expertise can bring you new life. I have been in this field for over a decade working in community mental health agency and then private practice. I am currently level 1 and level 2 trained through the Gottman Institute where there have been evidence based work for couples with great success rates. I am also currently pursuing EMDR training which is utilized for big and small trauma. I engage my clients in the good (albeit sometimes hard) work of healing. People are sometimes afraid of facing parts of their life that are painful alongside a therapist. I am confident my clients will find the journey worth their time. It is an investment with great returns. You don't have to accept things as they are. There is hope for renewal.
